My Journey to Africa at 12:13 PM

I want to share some exciting news. I joined a team of people from our church, Cornerstone Family Church in Des Moines, IA, that is preparing for a short-term missions trip to Nairobi, Kenya in East Africa in September of this year.

I will be going as a worker, volunteer, and will be used in any way needed, but I’ll also be filming a documentary of the trip and the people affected, not only Kenyans, but Americans. As Americans, we are removed from the needs of others around the world and I believe this video will be a great way to remind about part of the responsibilities of “The Church.”

Our focus for this trip is three-fold in Nairobi and the nearby Masai tribal area:

1. Marriage Ministry

2. Leadership Training/Development

3. Visit an orphanage and other projects that Cornerstone supports.

I believe my life and the lives of others will be eternally changed through this outreach, and the documentary to follow.

Each team member is responsible for raising their own prayer and financial support. I’m doing all I can to save money for this trip. However, I wonder if you would like to contribute as a partner of mine in this mission’s endeavor?
